Blue Fronted Amazon Description

Physical Description:  The Blue Fronted Amazon is primarily green. It has a yellow face, with the blue feathers around the beak. It's shoulders have a yellow and red patch.

Length:  15 inches

Ave. Lifespan: 

Sexing:  Undeterminable by appearance.

Origin:  Southwestern Brasil, Paraguay, Boliva , and northern Argentina.

Trainability:  These birds are very good at talking. They are a very popular parrot. The Amazons are very affectionate, but the males can be difficult after they reach sexual maturity. Good early training is required to prevent the male Amazons from becoming too mean.

Loudness:  These birds are known to be noisey.

Yellow Fronted Amazon Description

Physical Description:  The Yellow Fronted Amazon is primarily green. It has a yellow cap on it's head. This bird is very suseptable to respiratory infections. There are different mutations of this bird, including a lutino, and blue bird. Also, there are many variations of this bird.

Length:  14 inches

Ave. Lifespan

Sexing:  Undeterminable by appearance.

Origin:  Central and South America.

Trainability:  These birds are very good at talking. They are a very popular parrot. The can become very tame, and like human company.

Loudness:  These birds are known to be noisey.

 

All babies are weaned and as appropriate, have had polyoma shots.
